Stanhope AI has been named in the Barclays Eagle Labs 'Ones to Watch AI:100', highlighting the UK deep tech companies building the next generation of AI.

Our frontier model for physical AI, Petra, applies the principles of ‘Active Inference’, a computational neuroscience framework that empowers machines to think.

While most AI systems require large amounts of training data and massive compute, Petra constructs a real-time ‘world model’ of its environment and reasons from it.

This results in autonomous systems that:

  • Make empowered decisions in ‘edge’ environments (comms-denied, adverse conditions)

  • Learn and adapt in real time, mid-mission - no retraining required

  • Collaborate across platforms instantly - one system learns, they all learn

  • Share situational knowledge across land, air and sea

We believe the companies that will define the era of physical AI are those building systems that behave like the brain.
