Role Overview

The Chief of Staff will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team — connecting vision to execution. You’ll help structure company priorities, streamline decision-making, and ensure that technical and business teams remain aligned as we grow. This role blends strategic planning, project management, investor and board communication, and cross-functional business operations.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, understands both science and strategy, and wants to be at the centre of building a frontier tech company from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with the CEO to define, communicate, and execute company strategy.

    • Translate scientific and technical milestones into operational roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

    • Coordinate leadership meetings, track objectives (OKRs), and ensure accountability across teams.

    • Act as a sounding board and problem-solver for key strategic decisions and technical teams.

    • Design and optimize internal processes for efficiency as the company scales.

    • Drive execution of cross-functional projects involving R&D, product, operations, and go-to-market teams.

    • Anticipate bottlenecks and proactively remove barriers to execution.

    • Support the CEO in board preparation, investor communications, and fundraising materials.

    • Conduct market, technology, and competitive research to support strategic initiatives.

    • Represent the CEO in internal and external meetings when required.

    • Shape and execute on company culture, internal communication, and knowledge management practices.

    • Manage special projects that accelerate company growth or scientific advancement.

    • Support recruitment and onboarding of senior hires.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–10 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or deep tech environment (e.g., AI, robotics, deep tech)

  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

  • Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, low-structure environments.
